The Queensland Thoroughbred Incentive Scheme (QTIS)
Providing these additional prize money opportunities to qualified thoroughbreds ensures that breeding,
owning and racing a QTIS horse in Queensland is one of the best value for money horse ownership
opportunities in Australia.
2016/17 QTIS FEATURES INCLUDE:
Bonuses across all 2YO & 3YO races held in Queensland (excluding Black Type races)
50% increase to the standard QTIS bonus for 2YO and 3YO fillies who win or place
in a QTIS race.
A QTIS filly winning a Saturday Metropolitan QTIS bonus race takes home almost $77K for its connections
A win in a midweek Metropolitan QTIS race will see registered colts & geldings net nearly $20K and fillies over $23K
The winning purse of a QTIS race at a NON-TAB meeting for a registered colt, gelding or entire is in excess of $8K and nearly $10K for fillies.
The owners of a QTIS qualified horse receive a QTIS bonus when their horse finishes in the top three placings in any QTIS race.
METROPOLITAN $35,000 of QTIS bonuses will be allocated to every two and three year-old race (excluding Black Type events) at each Saturday and public holiday metropolitan meeting.
PROVINCIAL $12,000 in bonuses will be allocated to races at provincial TAB Meetings.
METROPOLITAN MIDWEEK $10,000 in bonuses will be allocated to races at metropolitan midweek meetings.
COUNTRY/NON-TAB $5,000 in QTIS bonuses will be allocated to races at non-TAB meetings.
