ATB’s Miss Adelaide leads all the way at Ararat
Feb 11, 2014
Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock mare Miss Adelaide returned to her best with a classy all the way win today at Ararat.
Having her fourth run this time in, the Fusaichi Pegasus 5yo notched up her second victory for her excited owners who were on hand to witness the dashing win.
Miss Adelaide is trained in Ballarat by the in form Darren Weir stable and she put the writing on the wall at her previous start when she led until the 400m over the same course & distance before being run down late by My Jessy.
This time round she found plenty in the run home under the urgings of jockey Brad Rawiller, who was able to hunt her up early from her wide gate where she settled in front and the result never looked in doubt.
“Brad Rawiller rode her perfectly,” ATB’s Darren Dance said.
“He jumped her out, sat outside the leader, and took over the running to use the leader biased track to his advantage.”
“The 2nd horse challenged and got to her rump before she found more and ran away to win by 2.25 lengths.”
“It was an exciting win and she has more in her this campaign.”
The victory took Miss Adelaide’s earnings to $23,015 from 2 wins and 3 placings from nine career starts to date and her next outing maybe at Bendigo on Thursday 27th February all going well.
