Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock witness another She's Our Star win

Jul 08, 2017

She's Our Star returned to her best with a runaway victory in the CALTEX - EAGLE FARM QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap over 1050m at Doomben today.

A lovely ride by Jim Byrne enabled trainer Tony Gollan to chalk up his 100th win for the 2016/17 season.

The win was the middle pin of a training treble for Gollan and completed a double for Byrne - both his wins for Gollan.

The daughter of Star Witness sat just off the pace from barrier one and despite over-racing slightly, she exploded past the leaders, including race favourite, Darktown Strutter to win easily by three lengths.

She relished both the drop back in class and distance.

From six career starts, the filly has now won twice with three minor placings for prizemoney a tick under $90,000.

A Magic Millions purchase on the Gold Coast in 2016 by Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock and CB Bloodstock, she was born and raised by Widden Stud.

Congratulations to owners Mr S M Frost, Brittain Racing, Mr O F Kelly, Mrs D J Rodgers, Mr B J Rodgers, Ms J P Blohm, Mr K L Blohm, Hardway Equine, All Pro Racing, Mudlarks, Mr B R Dau & Mr P J Brimblecombe.
