ATB’s Dandino arives in Australia and lands at Werribee Quarantine Centre
Sep 28, 2013
Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock’s international stayer Dandino arrived this afternoon at the Werribee Quarantine Centre for his Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup campaign with track rider and strapper Paul Francis.
The son of Dansili travelled very well on the plane over from the UK and drank 30 litres of water on the trip, losing only 7 kilos of weight on the way, which is outstanding.
Upon his arrival at the Werribee Quarantine Centre he looked free and relaxed in his 10 minute walk and our vets were on hand to give him a saline drench to help him recover from the long trip.
The horse looked super fit and Paul was very pleased with him following his arrival.
Dandino will walk only for 2 days at the quarantine centre and he will be out on the track from 7am most days after Tuesday.
You can watch him work whenever you like.
If you would like to come and see Dandino and the fellow internationals then don’t forget to book for our ‘Breakfast with the Internationals‘ on October 12th at the Werribee racecourse.
Below are some photos taken of Dandino at the Werribee Quarantine Centre today.
